The Killers will be performing songs off their upcoming album 'Battle Born' (due out 09/18) at Paradise Theater in the Bronx, New York on Tuesday, September 18th, on a very special night, the same day as their album hits stores and playlists everywhere. The global event coincides with the debut of The Killers’ highly anticipated album, 'Battle Born' (Island Def Jam), set for release on September 18th in the U.S. Pre-sale tickets for American Express Cardmembers to the performance sold out in a matter of hours. The Killers are the latest band to become a part of the third year of the acclaimed live stream series “American Express UNSTAGED,” in partnership with VEVO and YouTube. Directed this time by Werner Herzog, the show will be livestreamed at 7 pm ET/4 pm PT at www.youtube.com/TheKillersVEVO, and on mobile devices via VEVO and YouTube apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Android.
American Express, in conjunction with VEVO and YouTube, has tracked more than 70 million total views for its award-winning livestream music series since 2010. Award-winning director Werner Herzog (Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, Encounters at the End of the World, Fitzcarraldo, and Aguirre, The Wrath of God), known for pushing cinematic boundaries, was brought together with The Killers by American Express to capture the performance with a visually stunning home viewing experience.
