Concert Creep's iPod Top 10 List - July 2012

Every month I will reveal a top 10 list of what songs are currently getting heavy rotation on my iPod for one reason or another.  Here is the list for July 2012.

On The Bubble:  Purity Ring - "Lofticries"
10. Green Day - "Oh Love"
9.  Chappo - "Come Home"
8.  Ball Park Music - "It’s Nice To Be Alive"
7.  Band Of Horses - "Knock Knock"
6.  No Doubt - "Settle Down"
5.  Morning Parade - "Headlights"
4.  Bloc Party - "Octopus"
3.  The Royal Concept - "Gimme Twice"
2.  Two Door Cinema Club - "Sleep Alone"
1.  The Killers - "Runaways"

The Killers returned this month with "Runaways", the first single off their upcoming fourth studio album Battle Born due out September 18th.  The Killers have been my favorite band since 2005 so it is no surprise that I have had their latest effort on repeat all month.  After a two year hiatus to break from touring and work on solo projects, there is one thing that is certain.  It's good to have The Killers back!  I am extremely pumped for this album and to see what different directions it goes.  Brandon Flowers has said, “It's a great starting point, but there are more styles as well…We've never hid our influences, and we've always been loud and proud. This album is going down a few different roads, and you really get a taste of what we like as a band and what we think our strengths are."  You can be sure I'll be seeing a few shows on this next tour!
