If you are unfamiliar with the Caravan, it is basically a mini traveling festival headlined by the 'Dave Matthews Band' each night. Still pretty cheap though and should be a great weekend of shows. Check out all the details below...
Watch each night's Dave Matthews Band set live from The Gorge starting at 8PM PST this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Order a 3 Day Pass or order each night individually. Order the webcast to watch the shows live and watch archived streams the following week.

The Birds Are Still Flying High With, "If I Had A Gun"
Another strong track from Noel Gallagher's album has hit the world wide web. "If I Had A Gun", is the second to emerge from the older brother's upcoming solo album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, following the release of his first single, "The Death Of You And Me", that I also took a liking to in a blog in late July. I just really love where this album is going. It does well at being new, but still having that Oasis feel. Something I think is important never to lose. Because I know that is the sound I still yearn for. Unlike, what Liam and 'Beady Eye' have been putting out. It is obvious where the song writing capabilities came from in this family. So, if we are choosing sides and drawing a line in the sand. Mark me down again for Team Noel. See what you think and listen to it HERE.
High Flying Birds Tracklist:
01. Everybody’s On The Run
02. Dream On
03. If I Had A Gun…
04. The Death Of You And Me
05. (I Wanna Live In A Dream In My) Record Machine
06. AKA…What A Life!
07. Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks
08. AKA…Broken Arrow
09. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach
10. Stop The Clocks
Concert Creep's iPod Top 10 List - August 2011
Every month I will reveal a top 10 list of what songs are currently getting heavy rotation on my iPod for one reason or another. Here is the list for August.
10. Foster The People - "Pumped Up Kicks"
9. Portugal. The Man - "Floating (Time Isn't Working My Side)
8. Death Cab For Cutie - "You Are A Tourist"
7. OK Go - "Get Over It"
6. Arctic Monkeys - "Brick By Brick"
5. Young The Giant - "Cough Syrup"
4. Cage The Elephant - "Aberdeen"
3. The National - "Exile, Vilify"
2. Ben Howard - "The Wolves"
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers - "The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie"
Initially, when I listened to the first single in four years from the RHCP, off the latest album, I'm With You, I thought it was somewhat disappointing and not worth the wait. Maybe it was the whole concept for the video that turned me off since the roof top thing has been done many times before. Before I found out that they actually modeled it after a Beatles video, "Get Back", all I was thinking of was U2's, "Streets". Been there, done that. I expect more from the Peppers, one of the innovators of funk rock. Since then though, I have done a complete 180°. Man, is this song catchy or what? The more I listen to it, the more I love it! I have often found myself dancing around my house with the volume cranked up while playing a mean bass air guitar. "Tick tock, I wanna rock, you like the 80's." Yes, RHCP are back, and I am ready to rock with them. I just need to find my jam shorts.

The Vaccines Cancel North American Tour
Tuesday, September 20th, 2011
Off Broadway
3511 Lemp Ave
St. Louis, MO
Door:9:30pm
Show:10pm
21+=$12
-21=$14
CANCELLED
It looks like 'The Vaccines' will not be coming to Saint Louis after all. Bummer! I knew it was too good to be true. According to the band's website, lead singer Justin Young has to undergo his third throat surgery of the year, and they have been forced to cancel dates in North America, Japan, and the UK as a result. Young showed the same disappointment fans are feeling when he issued this statement...
"Sorry to keep so many of you in the dark regarding our touring plans over the next few weeks, but we wanted to be sure of them before we spoke to you. Unfortunately, the Doctor has now confirmed that, this week, he will be operating on my throat for a third time this year. It was the wait for this decision, and no other reason, that meant we were able to complete commitments over this last week and why we will not be able to complete those in the coming weeks. In a bid to allow my throat to recover and rehabilitate completely, we will be cancelling all shows, including our trips to North America in September and Japan and Europe in October. We will resume with our touring commitments in Paris on October 26th before supporting our friends the Arctic Monkeys here in the UK. This allows me to have eight weeks of the best vocal therapy available, allowing the best possible chance of complete recovery.
As I have said before, we understand any anger or upset, but we hope you all understand that we are completely devastated by this problem that has continued to plague us personally and professionally during the best year of our lives. Cancelling shows in exchange for repeated hospital visits plain fucking sucks. I know it may seem unfair that we continue to visit certain places whilst failing to visit your city or country, but touring is all we have ever wanted to do, so to suggest that we may not want to play a show, or that certain shows take priority over others, is not true. We are simply following the Doctor's orders. You have our word on that. We need to be able to perform to the best of our abilities without doing permanent damage to my throat. I can assure you that if you grant us your understanding and your patience, we will be in your hometown to play for you in the very near future."
Well Mr. Young. Understanding and patience has been granted. Let's hope you keep your word.

The Rapture - In The Grace Of Your Love
I have seen a ton of exposure today from multiple heavy hitter music outlets I often frequent on the Internet about the comeback album of a band called, 'The Rapture'. I quickly started wondering what all the excitement was about considering I have never heard of this New York band, a so-called pioneer of the post-punk revival genre. On September 6th, they will release their first album in five years after a long road of changes and challenges, most notably the departure of bassist/singer, Mattie Safer and the suicide of founding member and current lead vocalist, Luke Jenner's mom. I have not listened to their first full-length album, Echoes, that garnered the band most of their early success and critical acclaim, but I did just listen to the exclusive album stream of, In The Grace Of Your Love, due out next week. I have to say this is some pretty decent stuff. I personally think the album has five pretty good tracks out of the eleven on the album. Definitely worth a listen. To save you some time, I have highlighted my favorites below. The album starts out on the right foot with what I feel is the best track in, "Sail Away". I am really starting to like these Indie bands that are out today mixing rock with the electric sounds from the disco-dance era. If you have some time make sure to check out the interviews below from the Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, and The Guardian. I enjoyed learning about the band, and each interview brings something new and unique to the table.

LouFest 2011 - Small Review, Pics, and Videos
While most of Saint Louis was at home joining the record setting 12.4 million viewers watching the MTV Video Music Awards, I was happily enjoying the second annual Loufest Music Festival in Forest Park. An easy decision in my book that turned out to be an excellent one on this gorgeous summer Sunday afternoon. A little "Sunday Funday" if you will, and fun it sure was. While LouFest is a fairly small event in comparison to festivals hosted in other big cities, it is quickly turning into a cool little festival that should make the organizers and local music fans proud. The weekend delivers great music with good choices in diversity, tasty food from multiple Saint Louis establishments, delicious cold beverages, and a quality setup featured in a prime location. I could not make it out to day 1 on Saturday, but I was not going to miss two bands I have wanted to see live for some time now in, '!!!' (Chk Chk Chk) and headliner, 'TV On The Radio' (TVOTR). I guess it was my lucky day because I think most in attendance would agree that these were the two best sets of the day, and possibly of the entire weekend considering the last minute cancellation of 'The Roots' due to DJ Irene and her hurricane.
If you are old enough to read, which I know you are since you are reading this blog, then I am quite sure you have experienced a few good dance parties in your lifetime. I am pretty sure you can do simple math as well. Well, here's a small equation. Take that dance party, add five, multiply that by ten, and that is the sum of what you get with !!!. The next time you go out to a show with lead singer, Nic Offer, if you forget your best dance shoes, I don't care how far away you are, you better turn around and get them. I consider myself a veteran of the hardwood with an endurance to bust out moves well into the night, but after an hour with this Sacramento, California band and their Gumby like front man, I thought I was going to need to schedule a hip replacement surgery. It was well worth it too. Offer and his mates are pure fun. It took a few songs for the crowd to realize that is was ok to let loose and break out of their shells, but after that, body parts and beach balls were flailing in every direction in the audience. It was a well orchestrated dance off being led by our hilarious instructor I can only describe as an offspring you might get from Borat and Richard Simmons. I was so busy sweatin to the oldies and getting my groove on, I don't remember, and didn't even take the time to jot down what songs I was dancing to. I didn't care either. Why would I when for $38 bucks I can break out the leg drag, bottle pop, speed skater, and the tornado in the middle of a giant grassy field, and everyone around thinks its normal. If you ever win the lottery and throw a giant party with whoever you want, make sure to bump Offer up on the VIP list. And cancel the disco ball, you won't need it.
(!!! - "Must Be The Moon" - Live @ Loufest 2011)
Fortunately there was a performance from 'Cat Power' to relax my aching bones and refuel with some refreshments before closing down Loufest with the last set of the night that I was looking forward to from 'TV On The Radio'. And it looked like I was not the only one looking foward to this show because the crowd was the largest of the day packed in by the blue stage. I have to admit I have not listened to everything that TVOTR has to offer, but that is exactly the reason I was here because I like to expose myself to all different types of music. All I really knew going in from what I have heard was that this Brooklyn, New York based band crosses many genres, jamming to a mixture of jazz, indie, punk, and soul to name a few. And jam they sure did.
I absolutely love when a large band can bring an ensemble of instruments together to create a unique, but unified sound. For me, their pre-encore set was like a ride on the Screaming Eagle at Six Flags. They started us out with a few cool tracks like, "The Wrong Way", "Caffeinated Consciousness", and "Blues From Down Here", as we rose the giant first hill, filling us with excitement and making everyone realize we were about to be in for an energetic treat. After that, it was hands up flying down the track over bumps and around turns rocking out to highlights like, "Young Liars", "Staring At The Sun", and "Repetition", before coming to a climatic screeching halt with "Wolf Like Me". That was freaking awesome! Let's ride it again! After a few minutes of applause and echoing approval from the audience, we were back in line and ready for more as the band re-entered the stage for the encore. Although this time, we would find out that it was a ride on the Mine Train. Not the crazy, giant high-speed ride like we experienced before. But, the smaller still cool and classic coaster. The ride you always finish with to make the day a success! Ending with "Dancing Choose" and "Satellite", it was the perfect way to close down the night and my first experience with TVOTR. You can view more of my photos HERE, and all my videos on my YouTube page, HERE. I'll see ya next time out on the road!
