Recently, while perusing the usual muck of posts on Facebook, I stumbled upon a shared link from a friend, of a video showcasing biking legend, Danny MacAskill, where he takes his absolutely incredible bike skills through an industrial train yard in Scotland, performing tricks you have to see to believe. Check this out...

Badass, right? But, what does this have to do with music? Well...while most people, including me, were amazed by the performance on wheels, what I was actually drawn to the most in the video was the song that was being played. The entire time I was watching, I was thinking this song is sick! So I looked it up. "The Wolves", by an English singer/songwriter I am predicting we will hear a lot about in the future once people hear this guy's music. Let me introduce you to 'Ben Howard'. Take one part Jack Johnson, 1/3 David Gray, an ounce of Citizen Cope, a splash of James Morrison, add ice, and throw it in a blender. Now your drinking a Ben Howard. I have started listening to his stuff. This guy has all the goods of the next great solo artist. He's raw, unique, fresh, and has a voice that can appeal to a wide audience. Remember those Nokia N8 live Summer Sessions I have been flooding you with and talking about over the last month. Well guess what? Back in early July, guess who was one of the first featured artists? That's right, Ben Howard, performing an acoustic version of, "The Wolves", that will make you say, WOW. Pour me one of those drinks too.

If you are liking what you are hearing then you are in luck very soon. Ben Howard's debut album, Every Kingdom, will be released October 3rd. You can access the world-wide exclusive pre-order HERE. For those of you who were more impressed with Danny MacAskill's mad bike skills, I leave you with this gem set to another amazing song, "The Funeral", by my boys, 'Band Of Horses'. Have a great weekend!
