Watch Florence + The Machine LIVE From 'Radio City Music Hall' Air Tonight on Fuse In HD!

Tune into Fuse tonight to watch Florence + the Machine's intimate sold-out show live at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Fuse will be airing the entire show live starting at 9pm ET. The show is being presented by Diet Coke.

Flo's whole set will be available in HD, more details here - http://www.fuse.tv/2012/05/fuse-presents/florence-and-the-machine-live-radio-city-music-hall.  Expect lots of songs from 2011's Ceremonials, the group's latest album which debuted at No. 6 on Billboard's Top 200 as well as their critically acclaimed debut album Lungs, which spawned the mega hit, “Dog Days Are Over.”

To find out the local listing for Fuse TV in your area, check out the Channel Finder HERE.

Also, before the show make sure you watch this interview Flo did with Fuse where she talks about the five things you may not know about her...

She Gave Up Booze to Strengthen Her Voice
"Not drinking on tour has helped a lot, unfortunately," Flo tells Elaine. "It was almost a bummer when I found out [giving up alcohol] did work… The voice is a muscle and if you take care of it, you can feel it getting stronger."

She Would Love To Do a Kanye West Collabo
"I would love to. I think we're both maximalists… If we could get matching suits, it would be big."

Florence Revealed An Usher Obsession (?!)
"We're going to try to make [a new] record in Australia in two weeks," Florence says. But she adds that talk of Usher might threaten to derail the recording process. When Elaine asks if she means R&B superstar Usher, Florence confirms: "Like, Usher, the guy. Yes! 'These are my confessions.' [We end up] just sitting around talking about how amazing that song is." May we just say: That is so awesome.

Even As a Kid, She Was All About Fashion
"My little sister and I used to make up our own fairy tales with my mom, but it always seemed to revolve around the outfits we would be wearing. My mom would try to tell a story with plot and adventure, but me and my sister would just be like, [she does a little girl voice] 'Well, no! I would have a crowd of rubies but would have emerald shoes.' Or 'No, my dress would be made of pure gold!'"

Working With A Classical Choir Scared Her
"When we did 'Breath of Life' [for the Snow White and the Huntsman Soundtrack]… there was a 60-piece classical choir. I was so happy with the way it turned out, and that scares me because it's so big.… I was on cloud nine with this choir. [I was planning other orchestral collaborations] and my manager was going, 'We can't afford this, we can't afford this every day.' And I was like, 'But it's amazing! I love it!'"

You can also check out another video with Florence, below, in which the she talks about performing at Radio City, picking her outfits for onstage and having x-ray vision during her band's live sets!

Watch the videos above and below, and to see Florence + the Machine take over Radio City Music Hall on Tuesday, watch Fuse Presents: Florence + the Machine on Fuse's cable channel, May 8, at 9PM ET.

Stream Album Premiere 'Neck Of The Woods' From The 'Silversun Pickups' - Due Out 05/08!

The wait is finally over to hear the highly anticipated third studio album Neck Of The Woods from the 'Silversun Pickups'.  The album is not set to be officially released until next Tuesday, May 8th, however, you can stream the album premiere in full below from the MTV Buzzworthy Blog on MTV.com. The album, produced by Jackknife Lee (U2, Bloc Party, Weezer, Snow Patrol) is a follow up to sophomore chart-topping success Swoon.  If you were like me and attended the free Silversun Pickups concert at Soldiers Memorial Plaza in July of 2010 as part of the annual Celebrate Saint Louis summer concert series then you have been craving more from this Los Angeles alternative rock band ever since monsoon type thunderstorms cut their performance short half way through their set. It's good to have SSPU back! Hopefully a make-up show follows in Saint Louis on the band's upcoming tour.  Enjoy...

Nick van de Wall, better known as Afrojack, is one of the hottest music producer's and DJ's in the world right now.  His rise to fame as a producer has brought him a roll call of A-list champions – from Pete Tong to David Guetta, and Josh Wink to Fedde Le Grand, along the way collaborating with some of the world’s most respected producers and artists like Guetta, Steve Aoki, Diplo, Kid Cudi, Pitbull and The Black Eyed Peas.

Respected by his colleague DJ’s for his production skills and loved by clubbers for his dancefloor bombs and energetic performances, Afrojack is setting new standards in the industry.  One of his latest club bangers from this year, "Can't Stop Me", featuring Shermanology, is synonymous with Afrojack's rise up the charts.  He can't be stopped!  I have been blowing the speakers in my house out with this track over the last month ever since his appearance at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. Afrojack brings his 2012 'Jacked' Tour to St. Louis this summer in June.  You can be assured I won't miss this party!

Watch 'Communion' Artist 'Nathaniel Rateliff' Play Track For 'New Faces' Double-Vinyl Album!

Late last March, I told you about (review on insideSTL.com) the Communion SXSW 2012 Austin To Boston Tour I checked out at Old Rock House featuring the traveling Volkswagen caravan of Ben HowardThe StavesNathaniel Rateliff, and Bears Den.  If you don't remember, Communion is a supportive network made up of fellow creative musicians, including some of the best singer/songwriters in the world.  It was started by a talented trio of such, with the idea that some their favorite peer artists were not getting enough recognition or exposure, and needed a platform to be heard, while developing at their own pace.  After a little research, it was revealed that those Communion founders are actually Ben Lovett (from a little band you may know by now called Mumford & Sons), Kev Jones (bassist formerly of Cherbourg), and acclaimed producer Ian Grimble.  At the Old Rock House show at the merch table, on sale was a double-vinyl album called New Faces.  Communion’s 3rd compilation – New Faces is a cherry-picked selection of young artists that Communion want the world to celebrate next, and also acts as a timely reminder of the talent that the collective have nurtured over the past twelve months or more.

Well, today Communion has started releasing videos that were filmed of some of their "New Faces" performing their album tracks to celebrate the album release - the video below is the first one, the brilliant Nathaniel Rateliff playing "Just For Me But I Thought Of You".  Here is what I said about Rateliff from his set at the SXSW Austin To Boston Tour...

"The solo talents of Mr. Rateliff was probably my second favorite set of the night.  He is a Denver-by-way-of-Missouri (Hermann) singer/songwriter I wish I would have discovered much earlier.  He spent 2010/2011 supporting Mumford & Sons on tour.  Being a fan of a great acoustic artist, it seems almost a crime that I have not given this man a listen before, and missed his opening set on the Mumford tour when it came through St. Louis at The Pageant last June.  Armed with just an acoustic guitar and an edgy deep powerful voice, the applause he got throughout his set from the crowd was not just due to his close to home status.  The man can wail and every note is crystal clear.   His voice carried through to the back of the packed venue and up to the second floor balcony with ease. Standout song for me included the amazing "Shroud".  If you have made the mistake like me, and neglected your ears from Nathaniel Rateliff, don't wait any longer."

Check out "Just For Me But I Thought Of You", another reason you should be getting on board with this man and Communion Music...

To purchase the New Faces vinyl, head to Communion's website and you can buy it, HERE.

REVIEW, PICS, & SETLIST: Sleigh Bells @ The Blue Note - Columbia, MO - 04/23/12

There was a good reason that I decided to take a two-hour drive down to Columbia, Missouri on Monday night and head to The Blue Note, the live music venue celebrating thirty plus years of history, and delivering solid live shows right from the epicenter of Tiger Town. A reason good enough to brave the college crowd while far past my prime, and drive back to Saint Louis the same night to work early the next day on two hours of sleep in a world of $4 bucks per gallon of gas.  That reason was 'Sleigh Bells', the American noise-pop duo consisting of lead singer Alexis Krauss and guitarist Derek Miller, formed in Brooklyn, New York about four years ago.  My first ever experience with the pair was this past year in June 2011, at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.  I watched Sleigh Bells put on one of the most high-energy and electrifying performances of the entire festival.  What a powerful live show!  It was here where I started to notice a common trend in my musical taste lately.  I love ridiculous chicks in bands.  Especially rocker chicks!  It was also here that I thought to myself, it is only Thursday night of the four-day festival weekend, and I have already gotten my money's worth (about $267 and change).  That set featured most of the band's 2010 debut success, Treats.  In February 2012, the group unleashed a further assault on the eardrums of music fans everywhere with their sophomore album release, Reign Of Terror, where they have cranked up the volume yet another notch.  It goes without being said, over this past year, I have been looking forward to another live encounter with the ear-pounding goodness from the Bells.  However, I still wasn't prepared for this latest intense experience.

For my full review of the entire show head on over to insideSTL.com music section and you can check it out HERE.  And you can see all of my photos I shot of the show over on my Facebook music blog fan page HERE.   A little preview what you will be reading about...
